chaimagal believes every person has the right to use the internet with dignity and independence. We invest ongoing effort and resources to make this website — and the apps we build — usable by people with the widest possible range of abilities.
Our commitment
This website was built to comply with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758–1998, and specifically with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773–2013, Chapter C (internet services).
We aim to allow people with disabilities to browse our site with the same degree of effectiveness and enjoyment as any other user.
Standards we follow
Accessibility adjustments on this site follow the recommendations of Israeli Standard 5568 for web content accessibility at Level AA, which is based on the international W3C WCAG 2.1 guidelines. WCAG rests on four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with proper landmarks and heading hierarchy, so assistive technologies can parse and navigate the page.
- Keyboard-operable navigation — every interactive element is reachable with Tab, activatable with Enter/Space, and visible focus states are preserved.
- Descriptive link text, form labels, and alternative text for meaningful images.
- Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA for body text, with a high-contrast mode available for users who need more.
- Responsive layout that works on phones, tablets, and desktops, including text reflow up to 200% zoom.
- Compatibility with recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop and mobile, and with common screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
- Respect for user motion preferences (
prefers-reduced-motion), and a manual "pause motion" control in the accessibility menu.
The accessibility menu
A blue accessibility icon in the bottom-left corner of every page opens a menu that lets you adjust the site to your needs. Your choices are saved on this device and applied automatically the next time you visit. The menu includes:
- Contrast — high contrast, dark mode, or inverted colors.
- Text size — 100% / 115% / 130% / 150%.
- Spacing — wider letter spacing and taller line height.
- Readable font — switches body text to a sans-serif with increased letter spacing, which many readers with dyslexia find easier.
- Underline links — forces underlines on every link, so they are not identified by color alone.
- Pause motion — disables all animations and transitions.
- Reading guide — a highlighted bar that follows the cursor down the page.
- Large cursor — an enlarged pointer for users with low vision or motor difficulty.
- Reset — restore all defaults.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible. Third-party content embedded on a page (for example, video players or store badges) can behave differently from the rest of the site. We continue to review the site regularly and remediate issues as we find them.

Reporting a problem
If you encounter an accessibility barrier — a page that does not work with your assistive technology, a missing label, low contrast, or anything else — please let us know. When you report an issue, it helps if you include:
- The page URL where the problem occurred.
- A short description of the problem.
- Your browser, operating system, and any assistive technology you are using (if relevant).
We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe and to resolve issues as quickly as we can.
